MA Thesis

Poster for Science Park

I successfully defended my master's thesis this June at the Universidad de Granada. My thesis examined the intersection of art and science through the creation of an educational poster for the Parque de Ciencias Granada, Spain. I had the opportunity to work in a very hands-on environment: the “Biodomo,” a giant interactive habitat housing multiple endangered species, serving as both an educational platform and a research and captive breeding facility. My research was conducted at the Biodomo and the placement of my poster and art will commence this fall at the park. The defense and paper were conducted entirely in Spanish. This year taught me so much and it was such a fantastic step for me on my path of finding my own niche and embracing my artistic nature and my passion for the environment. I plan to take a year to explore working as a freelancer (I already have some exciting projects I can’t wait to show you all soon). I’ll then be applying for PhD programs this fall! I cannot wait to continue using art as both an investigative method and a bridge to connect the scientific world with the public!
